Boys from Syracuse

Ok, before all of you write to me and tell me how wonderful Boys from Syracuse is. I looked it up. The Boys from Syracuse is a musical with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Lorenz Hart, based on William Shakespeare's play, The Comedy of Errors, as adapted by librettist George Abbott. The score includes swing and other contemporary rhythms of the 1930s. The show was the first musical based on a Shakespeare play. There are actually two sort of hit songs from that show, Falling In Love With Love and This Can't Be Love.

There you are, I told you so.

This is an original dong written by Jodi and composed by Brad Simmons.

Broadway Legend

Last night I went to the Laurie Beechman Theater to hear one of my former campers perform. It got me thinking of Laurie again and I feel so lucky to have performed with her. She was truly amazing and a broadway legend! None of you would be belting if it wasn't for her. She paved the road - there was no road before her. Watch/study these clips!
